Alrite, story goes that I sent Karan one of my video edits. And he was saying, "Crap, I suppose?" I replied "acintas quality class". The only effect I got was, "Yeah, crap." But at least he said it was nominally ok later while Jed was singing the praises of it. acintas doesn't mean anything to the ppl around me (much) as to the effect that JP had. Well, I guess some ppl knew where I got that from, but at least the new one was a genuine attempt at originality. But still, the name isn't anywhere that strong "brand" I originally wanted it to be.

Up to 2 years ago, I can honestly say that ppl were literally begging to join in my group projects. Simply for the great stuff we could turn out as a team in a short time. The excellence spirit which I modelled after an old friend, LBQ. At some point, our groups could even rival Mun's eternal teacher-favouristism (joking).But now, its turns out I'm the one begging ppl to join their groups, and it never works out. The last relatively successful one was the Public Speaking crap which we created that NEA ad, team comprising the old guards of mine (Daniel, QZ, Nat, PSK) & Mark who seemed more outsider. Needless to say, anyone whom really knows me personally in real life would know that those names in brackets are in the class next door now. And chances that there will ever be a major project involving these ppl = nil.

So what luck do I have at all? Anyone rmbs that Fractal project last year under Gan. There was Clemmy, Jed, Liew and I think Benchia. Well, quite successful. Clem is now frequently sighted and commonly aligned with the Taiwan group, which has proven rather hardy to break due to some external factors. Its rather annoying, how this group chooses to disassociate themselves from everyone else. Well, Jed quitted, and is now next door. Liew? Unless I have a strong coalition, no way I can convince him. As for benchia, I can get him anytime as long as there is Kaleni (+ BZ) around, which forms my new long term group. I dunno what bonds us (if any), the chase for academic excellence? But doing that LA B ad last year together was quite a good start.

Summaries of the current PERMANENTLY aligned coalitions in the class:
Taiwan: Mun, Song, Toh, Mark (quite annoying even next door as well, aligned with PSK)
for reasons quite obvious, the taiwan group has excluded kiahua but included Clem who never even went
Justin: Boey, Hongyi, Mingyi, Foo
LHY: Fengze + Moh
Kaleni: BZ
JGoh: Brandon + Kiahua + Nong
this last grp is formed out of desperation owing to no one ever accepting them


now, these are not grps. more rather, categories:
Radicals: Bsoh, Jason
these ppl dun have any proper alignments.

back to my own analysis, the taiwan grp is practically impregnable. the LHY grp gives good run for ur buck given moh's lame skillz. Kaleni's grp makes gd work, provided u do all the work. JGoh grp is only for those out of desperation. The radicals are good to work with at times, but are highly too unpredictable.

The usual rant. Its time to rethink about the devised stratems. Ok, firstly, they aren't working, or they were never put to work. Preciso, not possible. But efficeo, very high possibilities. The first mistake was a ripple from the start, providing the snowball effect that is now seen. Remedies? Its hard to administer patches to a split 3 way system. Implementations do not work across the board. The balance-load system is untied to the input sifter, and highly susceptile to external influence. Call it whatever you want, jargon rant, if any.

The work on UE must continue. A standstill is the start of all decay. The current consensus is now to dump everything onto the Wiki and let market forces decide how the place will be shaped. But controlled dumping is key.

Funding for the Attresh technological cycle is down to roughly $600-800 this year. The aim is still to extend usability for as long as possible, best at 3 years. The last few sets have proven to last 2 years max and stuff from the old generation are still running fine, but signs of failure are showing up.

Advancements over the past year:
>Fully Wifi-B equipped network ring (4 systems) with Partial Wifi-G capabilities (2 systems)
>2X 80GB + 40GB = 200GB increased storage

胡亂

The lousy March hols are back again. Seems like I missed out collecting some work on Track day so I'm pretty much screwed. More to that, I still have a digital storage crisis. Both HDD are packed full and it seems to be time to get something real big. Maybe say a 250GB or 300GB, or 2X 200GB running RAID. A network drive seems not bad, the Iomega one runs a variant of Debian. But that would be a terrible hack job. I did some googling last night and found this VR Lifedisk package which essentially connects to the network and provides ready FTP. You can buy any 3.5" of your choice and dump in, its S$175 from Funan South Asia, add a Seagate 250GB 7200.8 at $235, its great price of $410 compared to Iomega's extortionist offering at $585.

darned

Had an enjoyable cruise, guess most people did anywayz. Currently encountering the worse technical failures I have had for this year. My main com's mobo systems are fried somehow, EX-71s gone awry, ixus400 kena scratched badly, laptop's wifi silently dead. All the heartache for these investments. Some are still covered under warranty, thankfully. My laptop's windoze got screwed, so I m using Suse Lin 9.2Pro, one of the best mobile linux solutions out there.

經過一段漫長冷淡的空言，今天總算與這群認識三年的圖書館盟友再次坐下商談凴我們這班人馬最後一次一起舉辦的活動。很遺憾，這兩年來未曾珍惜過。即使機會擺在了眼前，卻沒主動抓取。過幾個月，人都要走了。我不知曉結局該如何編寫，仍然處於盲目之中。
