Kurose

Urgh, Jason Liu left this morning at 6am for Toronto for good. Word from the subject himself was that a whole crowd of people including Ollie, Auggie and Daniel and his church friends had all gathered to see him off. Nah, so early, didn't bother to go. But I had a brief talk with that fella on Gtalk pretending we couldn't hear the other fella. I guess this is how it goes, good luck over there Jason. But I guess he will be doing quite well.

Things that must come to pass

Having taken to watching Bleach the last 3 days, I have resolved to accomplish some useful stuff.

1. Clear up my room
2. Get some presents
3. Send letters to 2 people in the short term
4. Write something to my penpal
5. Mug more physics and math

Ice-skating

My bad, have been writing entries without pictures these days a lot.

Went ice-skating with Boey, Jovin, Ian and Foo's church friends yesterday at Jurong Entertainment
Center. Weather was good, rainy and uplifting. Due to a miscommunication error, Jovin and I entered the skating rink first, only to have Boey showing us "Hahahaha" on his handphone from the other side of the glass. Bah, dunno what those people were deliberating for. So on to ice-skating, its very much like roller-blading.

Thanks to my previous experience, I successfully skated about in the first hour without any accidents or falls. But sore as my ankles got, the accidents happened. Jovin is a natural skater, I can attest to that. So Boey was playing tag with him all the way, and there were whole bunches of dangerous kids recklessly driving their support sledges around. Grrrr.

Ok, hah, pretty fun day. Sigh, 10 days more till the new year starts. So I shall render some final words which I will look back as yesteryear's stuff in days to come. This has been a fruitful year, of equally both good and bad, for that I give thanks to the Lord. I have met quite a bunch of new people these holidays, hopefully I can send something to my Japanese penpal Yutaro soon. On the uglier side, there are people whom I know that are leaving and are bitching behind my back. So it shall be, I have received equally in quantitive of stuff which I deem to be good. This holidays hasn't been normal nor too exciting, hah, next one shall be better! I got my 3G phone and ipod nano, it shall be a good enough Christmas.

So long.

Breakdown

Thought I did make a trip to Choa Chu Kang. The library there is miserably small compared to the Woodlands Regional Library, and it was packed full of people. I did manage to read a chinese book on motivation, but left anyway. While deliberating my way back, I thought today's misadventure warranted a trip on the LRT. I never took that shit before, and now I understand why its the service hated by lots of people.

Not to mention a lousy bumpy ride, the carriage windows have an annoying filter which appears and shuts off alternatively when it passes by residential areas. And the duration between stops borders somewhere below endurable, I think people would rather walk. Last but not least, I met with a train malfunction on my very first trip there.

The carriage in front got stuck in between 2 stations for about 20 minutes. And I later saw some people in black running out on the track towards it. By the time it arrived at CCK MRT, you can see all the angry faces crowded on the platform. LOL. Real shitty service, good thing I don't live there and won't ever need to use it.

Krilas

Sigh, its a miserable 13 days left to the new year. Candlelight service was enjoyable, though not spectacular. But its all got to do with the heart. Oh well, I didn't get to meet Ronald. On further note, I have taken to mugging math and physics on my own these days, which are pretty sad subjects. The Physics tutor is a weird personality, but judging by how John Seah behaves, I think its normal for a physicist kind of person.

Regarding mPro, Operasi Krilas is underway. The Wiki is up, fileserver is up, blog is up, and the new team has been formed. Pretty independent lot, I can be gladly relieved next year, considering its a busy year. The new guys will run the show soon. Their crap is here.

QZ's party last Friday wasn't much different from last year. Same place same room, except I stil haven't gone to his house before. Interestingly, more people have taken to DDR. Naruto was on this year's PS2 menu for pretty much the whole day. No sushi though >_> . Alrite QZ, to infinity and beyond!

Merlion

Wrote these the next Monday actually...

Went to eat Carl's Jr with Rao, Hongyi, QZ, Kiahua. Bunny backed out the day before, some lame miscommunication. Too bad Rao cldn't find Keene, but never mind. The procession went ahead, and for all the hype, the burgers were only slightly bigger than BK Whoppers. Now we know better!

Took a walk to the white water spitting stone by the river. A can of Milo there costs $2.50. I realize the bridge and riverside have some photographic value, but pity I only had a lousy camera phone and the sun was overwhelming that day.

Poor merlion, pity so little care about you. You artificial freak of nature.

Jaunting Project

The last 5 days have had rather unique finds for me. Found some new techies and along with that, revival for an old project. The last few days working with the prefects has been muchly enjoyable. As compared to the monkeys in the club, they are rather on-task and innovative with the shoots. Quite a humorous lot I might say. But more than that, the first video that I have made in this few months is coming up. I'm thinking with the introduction of Skunk Works, we will be able to wreak a storm soon. Watch out people!

Hah! For the first time in 4 years, I accompanied John Loh's company to the ITE canteen for lunch yesterday. Not too surprisingly, the stalls are outsourced to an outside food company. Service is pretty good too. Prices are somewhat cheap for the kind of quantity, no complains then.

Sumptous

Coming from Tomorrow.sg

For all your airline meals resource: http://www.airlinemeals.net/

This one is from Asiana Airlines, Rockson prawn they call it. ValueAir also serves up rather nice stuff.

On second note, it seems the McD rice burger isn't island wide, nor did I see any advert campaign on it. Its not really original, came from MOS burger, and the recipe is from McD Taiwan chains.

To the East!

I finished Sophie's World yesterday, quite an accomplish since I hardly read. It was quite a pain at times, but I managed it at the library. My home and the library are worlds apart in atmosphere, and I find it hard to concentrate at home at times. Went Tampines today by bus. If anyone recalls, it was voted the Best Planned Town in the world by the UN back in 1993, or something like that. Its slightly eye-opening for me, since I hardly go there. I did look more closely this time, buildings are rather old, but quite spacious in between. Compare to the newer estates, the designers are rather skimpy on open space. They might as well not have any, cos the sunlight doesnt ever get in and the plants fail to grow. Stupid architects! Its quite a pity flora and greenery are getting lesser attention these days. Hope they go back to the drawing board with that in mind next time.

online expression

The minions out there are using the Internet without question and taken it for granted.
What was once a closed network is now a commodity. How the tables turn! These days, its quite easy for individuals to commune online. Imagine what a better world it would be if people could get find alike individuals easily. Society still wouldn't be a better place, since by logic terrorists would also have an easier time finding their targets.

But anyways, the current form of interest pairing on the internet requires great amounts of filtering on the individual's part. Can technology solve such an issue? This would wander into the realms of artificial intelligence, or maybe a more ordered system would be able to put things in order? I wonder.

Yesterday's library workout was rather fruitful I might say. Complete 100 pages in a day, that's definitely an achievement for me. On further note, I made first contact with a new person, second contact with another. How far will we go down the rabbit hole? Cross border talk is not new to me, but its time to find new individuals.

On further note, the idea of an ideas stash has been rather alluring. I'm always conjuring up some ideas about modifying existing commodities. A student themed restaurant where the table top for each patron can be lifted, and surprise, there's a screen and computer underneath which you can surf the net with or chat with your pals. Then the restaurant waiters or waitresses would be dressed in school uniform.

Regarding my defensive laser concept, its necessary for further modifications to improve reliability. The chain is way too short to be of ease to reach for in times of need. Additionally, there needs to be additional wavelength intensity. Precision is yet another problem. Hope to get these concepts sketched on paper soon.

countermeasures

It is necessary that the enterprise proceeds with further documentation of its inputs. Whatever that was good in the 5th era would be carried on into the 6th.

what is divine

Sheeesh kebab. Almost forgotten about blogging this. Inspiration struck me at the library, where time passes slower and the world is at ease. The name is Sage, and he is a subject of trouble.
